NEW DELHI , Feb. 4—An Executive Committee meeting of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), chaired by DPCC president Shri Jaiprakash Agarwal, MP was held at Rajiv Bhawan, the DPCC office, here today. The meeting unanimously praised Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi at whose instance the Urban Development Ministry had taken a historic decision to spare the people of Delhi from the sealing and demolition drive. Shri Agarwal briefed the meeting in detail about the salient features of the direction/order of the Union Urban Development Ministry regarding the Delhi Special Law 2007.

Besides Shri Jaiprakash Agarwal, others present at the meeting were MP and DPCC spokesperson Smt. Krishna Tirath, All India Congress Committee secretaries Maj. Ved Prakash, Smt. Alka Lamba and Maj. Dalbir Singh, MLA and spokesperson Shri Brijender Singh, DPCC office-bearers Shri Om Prakash Bhiduri, Shri Ajit Singh Chadha, Shri Dhrender Tyagi, Smt. Darshna Ramkumar, Shri Balwansingh Khokhar, Shri Madan Khorwal, Shri Deepak Ghoti, Shri Rajender Sharma, Shri Rajiender Malik, Shri Suresh Malik, Dr Naresh Kumar, Shri Rattan Jain, Shri Ashok Kumar Jain, Shri Jaiveer Nagar, Shri Jitender Kumar Jitu, Shri Sukhbir Sharma, Shri S.K. Puri, Shri Amit Malik, Smt. Abha Choudhary, Shri Harsh Choudhary. Shri Lalchand Chand Chandelia, Shri O.P Kaushik, Shri Sanjay Puri and other leaders.

The meeting unanimously decided that if the BJP ruled MCD did not immediately implement the Ministry's direction for stopping the sealing and demolition drive, the Congress cadres will fan out to the block and district levels to make the people aware of the double standard of the BJP and expose its masked face.
