I joined Congress Party in 1978 under the leadership of Shri H.K.L. Bhagat Former Union Minister after inspiration of my father and other family members because they all were active workers of Congress (I) under the kind leadership of Smt. Indira Gandhi working work hard for the cause of national integration, unity and communal harmony and to farther the policies and programmes of Congress Party. The Congress Leader like Sh. H.K.L. Bhagat Smt. Abida Ahmed, Former 1 st Lady of India, Sh. Jai Prakash Aggarwal, Former member of parliament Sh. Subhash Chopra, Ch. Prem Singh President DPCC (I) and other National and state leaders are well aware about my work and potential. My activities have received wide spread appreciation & applause.

Few of election in which I worked for the party are:

1978 Bye-Election of Metropolitan Council from Ghonda constituency where Ch. Kalyan Singh won. This was the first Election on symbol of "HAND"

1980 Lok Sabha Election

1983 Delhi Metro/Politan Council and MCD

1984 Lok Sabha Election

In December 1992 the Babri masjid was demolished and the erstwhile Prime, Minister Sh. Narsimha Rao failed to pacify the Muslim of the country, and large number Muslim left the congress I too, agonised and hurt left the party and joined Janata Dal and took active part in 1993 Delhi Vidhan Sabha Election Parliamentary in Seelampur and Matia Mahal Constituencies. In 1997 Janata Dal leaders decided to field me as candidate for MCD Election from Jafrabad Ward 92 which I won with thumping margin.

Though I had been in Janata Dal but not feeling comfortable because I always believe in the programms and policies of the Congress party. I met Shri Subhash Chopra, the then President of DPCC (I) and Mrs. Sheela Dixit Chief Minister of Delhi & Ch. Mateen Ahmed expressed my desire to join the party before Lok Sabha Both Coaxed me to join the Congress Party, Consequently I along with thousands of workers joined the party 1999 Elections parliamentary Const. I worked Hard for Sh. H.K.L. Kapoor, the Congress Candidate from East Delhi . Though, he lost the seat but won from my ward with a record margin more then one of the any Congress Candidates from any ward of Delhi . I was also intrusted the responsibility of the president of Seelampur Block Congress Committee in last party Election and also nominated as the Secretary, DPCC (I). I have used all my efforts to unite the Congress workers.

In 2002 M.C.D. Election, the party rusted me and allotted the party ticket from Jafrabad Ward Number 92 to contest the same I got full support of party workers and well wishers and won the seat by 4700 votes. I was not only contesting but also looking after the another Ward No. 91 which falls under my Block which to was won by a healthy margin.

•  Reconstruction of Five New School Buildings of MCD with a budget of Rs. 9 crore.

•  New Marginal Bandh, New Seelampur, Delhi

•  B-Block Primary School , New Seelampur, Delhi

•  Old marginal Bandh, Primary School, New Seelampur, Delhi

•  New Basti Primary School , New Seelampur Delhi

•  D-Block Primary School , New Seelampur, Delhi

•  Construction of Basti Vikas Kendra in D-Block, Seelampur, Delhi with a budget of Rs. 15 lacs.

•  Two Dispensaries under the prime minister fund scheme.

•  Development of 36 parks of which 5 were named as :

•  Razia Sultan Park (1 st Lady Emperor of India )

•  ii) Aruna Asif Ali Park for Women

Always remain of the disposal of local people, solving their day to day problem & working for the weaker section of the society. I liked and loved by all sections society, irrespective of cast, cread, religion for the selfless service.

Presently in Lok Sabha Election 2004, I work hard for Shri Sandeep Dixit, The Congress Candidate East Delhi Consituency. He got the record victory from my block after gaining 77% votes which is perhaps a record in East Delhi .

If a chance is given to me to serve the party at any suitable post I shall leave no stone unturned to full fill the aspiration and expectations of party and I assure your kind self that my loyalty and commitment to the party I shall always farther.
